Job Title: Business Development Specialist for Venue Relations

DESCRIPTION:

Music Traveler is a marketplace that centralizes spaces with musical instruments and equipment for the creative industry. Via gathering spaces for all levels of prices, types, sizes, and activities, the company’s platform will expand its services by providing a booking, payment, and operating management system for the venues and spaces. Music Traveler currently has a presence in numerous cities in 26 countries in Europe and North America. The platform has earned the endorsement of renowned artists, partners, and the music community. World-renowned ambassadors include Billy Joel, Hans Zimmer, Sean Lennon, Yuja Wang, Adrien Brody, and John Malkovich, just to name a few.

The Responsibilities:

Music Traveler is expanding to various markets and recruiting more spaces and venues to join our platform. We are looking for more team members to join the business development team to accelerate the growth. This is an excellent opportunity for you to work with a close team to gain experience in many areas including:

  • Identify potential venues, and spaces in the target market and enroll them into the system

  • Develop relationships with prospective music venues, and various performing arts hosts, while maintaining existing relationships

  • Partner with other business development teams to create campaigns, and growth activities for current and prospective hosts and users

  • Co-develop messaging, content, and material to improve conversion based on user feedback

  • Participate and collaborate in sprint BD trips

  • Develop successful marketing re-engagement and email campaigns

  • Manage CRMs

Skills required:

  • Undergraduate degree required

  • Background in Music, Arts, Culture, Entertainment, and Live Event industry experiences preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentations in English and German (additional languages are always welcome)

  • Familiarity with Canva, Gsuite, basic CRM systems, and Microsoft Office products

  • Partnership or Business Development, Live Productions, Event Management or Relationship Management experiences preferred

  • Basic understanding of the performing arts, music, and industry, with the ability to become a subject matter expert on the job

  • Innovation and problem-solving skills that include the ability to develop and propose solutions, strong organization skills with attention to detail
